Loved Mountainwood
This is a cozy two bedroom an easy walk away from downtown and the Peak Nine lift. Great for a family of 4-5. Underground parking is great. Plus, Peak Properties is a very accomadting company.
Great Stay at Mountainwood
My two small children and I stayed at Mountainwood for the weekend of 1/29-2/1/09. It is a great location. Easy access to downtown on the walkway across from the building through the Main Street Station. The best part of the building is the underground parking with elevator. This is a must with little kids and all of their gear! The unit had everything we needed: fully equipped kitchen, bunkbeds for kids, king bed for my husband & I, fireplace, DVD player and great view to the mountain as well. We even used the outdoor pool and hot tubs at the Columbine Pool, right around the corner from our building. Access to the mountain is very easy as well, with a walking path across the street to the Base of Peak 9. I would recommend Peak Property Management, Inc as a great booking agent, and plan to use them again in the future.
Our visit was enjoyable
The condo was nice, very close to lift 9 and shops. The only odd thing was that the master bedroom was very cold and the guest room was very hot. The temp control didn't seem to work properly in those two room. The other rooms reacted normally. The jet tub was a nice feature after a long day of skiing!
Fun, convenient
The whole process was pretty easy. The place was nice, and in a really good
location. The price was affordable, and fit all 6 of us comfortably. TV was
small, but who watches TV on a ski weekend? :) I would stay there again.
Ski getaway
First time in this unit, but have stayed in this building before. It's not
the most luxurious place you'll find, and the unit is probably due for
an update, but overall a great place to stay. The location is great, as
you can walk to the lifts at the base of Peak 9 and Main Street of
Breckenridge is just a block or two away. You could park your car the
whole time in the underground garage and never use it. The 2
bedroom unit is roomy, clean, and comfortable and was perfect for my
family. The kitchen is a bit dated but well equipped. The bunk beds in
one of the bedrooms were fine with my kids but might not appeal to
some. Again, not the most luxurious place you'll find, but the price is
reasonable and the location is ideal. I'd definitely recommend it.
Very average accomodations
I felt the level of accomodations was very average. Plenty of space and great location however, I felt the amenities were a little lacking. The hall way had that old motel stale smell and the maintenance of the hallway (especially the cheap doors) did not have a welcoming feel.
